I needed a new antenna for my CB and I found RightChannelRadios.com had the selection and helpful tips I was looking for. I went with the magnet base Wilson 1000 because I was kind of planning ahead and wanting modular at the same time. The packing was well done in order to protect all parts included and it proved effective. When the package arrived I could see that the approximately 5'x5"x5" long box had an attempted bend in the middle. As I unpacked the box I found the magnet/coil box was safely packed in place and there was a system included to keep the whip safe. I had to look carefully for the whip and found it taped into the corner. Well the excellent packing worked; the whip was straight and undamaged. At first I thought the shipping cost was a little high but I get the risks involved and the care. Thanks Pat and crew for all the information on your site and the careful care in shipping my antenna. Replaced a defective Uniden 980 SSB with the President George FCC. The radio works great and has more features than I will use. I also like the four knob mounting bracket instead of the usual 2 knobs. Makes for a sturdy mount. Very pleased with purchase.
