Install on your spare tire carrier using the existing bolt holes to achieve that factory installed look. Recommended for: JK Wrangler owners who want a clean, professional CB antenna installation that's easy to achieve.

Compatible with: Compatible with JK Jeep Wranglers, including Rubicon and Unlimited models. Combined with an antenna stud, the mount will support all fiberglass and center-load antennas that use a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded base.

Installation Notes:

Installing the JK wrangler mount is simple and easy. Start by removing the spare tire. Once the tire is off the vehicle, remove the two factory bolts from the upper right side of the mount. Place the CB antenna mount over the empty holes and, using the two new bolts, attach the antenna mount to the tire carrier. After the mount has been installed, you can route the CB coax cable through the grommet in the tailgate and alongside the brake light wires. IMPORTANT NOTE: The mount uses a powder-coated finish, which prevents the mount and antenna from properly grounding out of the box. Make sure to scrape off the powder coating adjacent to the antenna stud and mounting bolts to ensure proper grounding. Otherwise, you'll experience high SWR and poor performance.

Great mount

this is a great mount that holds up to everything. the only bad thing i have to say is it needs a little work to get paint off when in stalling it.

Thanks for the review Jordan. Unfortunately powder coating is not a friend to grounding and needs to be scraped off around the bolt and stud holes. We're glad the mount is working out well!

Spare Tire Mount is a very poor fit!

The mount would not work without significant bending in order to let the antenna clear the spare tire on my 2014 Wrangler Sport with OEM Goodyear P255/75 R17 tires.
