This large magnet converts the K40 antenna, normally a trunk-lip or roof mount antenna, into a heavy-duty magnet mount antenna. Using an impressively strong 120-lb. pull magnet, this adapter allows the K40 to be easily mounted to a vehicle's roof, trunk or any other flat metallic surface.

Not what I needed.

I must of misunderstood the product . I needed a magnetic base with coax . That the antenna mast and coil attach directly to . Not a retrofit .
