Description

Uniden has always been know for producing quality equipment that is built for the trail. We are very excited to see them bring an all-in-one handset CB to their offering as space is limited in most Jeep and 4x4 vehicles. Even though this radio is new, we've installed countless Uniden 510's in off-road and commercial vehicles. Built with the same quality, this handheld radio will challenge the Cobra 75 WX ST and other radios for it's place on the throne.

Recommended for: Use in Jeeps, trucks, cars or anywhere space is limited or a small CB is desired. If using in a noisy environment (open-air Jeep, diesel truck), an external speaker is recommended, as the compact built-in speaker can be difficult to hear with background noise.

Radio Features: Backlit Display, Roger Beep, Channel Scanning, RF Gain, both CB and NOAA Weather, Instant Channel 9/19, Noise Reduction (NB/Hi-Cut)

Compatible with: Compatible with all CB antennas on the market. The all-in-one handset can be hung using the included CB microphone hanger. The antenna coax, power cord and optional speaker wire plug into a small mounting box that can be installed out-of-sight. The Uniden handset is then connected to this mounting box by a single cord.

Perfect for this application.

Using Ham Radio, GMRS and CB all in the cramped cockpit of a JEEP Wrangler is difficult. Using compact gear makes it easier. Knowing the quality of the Uniden brand makes the decision EASY. This radio is equal to the Cobra 75 WXST in performance. But the Uniden CMX760 is more pleasing ergonomically and has a much better display. As a communications and electronics professional, I heartily recommend the Uniden CMX760.

Compact, All-in-one Device

I've had this radio in my 2018 Silverado for a few weeks now. The display is easy to read when in-hand (my mounting location makes it a little difficult to read when stowed) but having all of the buttons on the handset makes it very easy to use even while driving. The buttons are well placed/spaced and respond to reasonable press. The Wx function is a nice touch as well as the "Alert" feature. For my purposes the built-in speaker is sufficient. The options for ANL/Low Cut and "Local" (band narrowing/noise reduction) are also nice to have. My only complaint is the squelch controls are not as robust as a dial-type. There are only 7 setting levels. There needs to be more like 10 or 12.
